How we research, source and review

Research and sources

Each guide starts from a question people actually search. We gather sources and open and read each one, rather than relying on search snippets. Every fact on the page links to its source with a numbered citation, and the full list of sources sits at the bottom of the page.

We prefer primary sources: official data, the study itself, the bill text. When sources disagree we say so, and we say how sure we are.

If a claim can't be traced to a source we could open, it doesn't go on the page.

Review

Before a guide is published, a member of the aidoom.ai team checks its facts against the cited sources, its tone and its short answer.

A job only gets its own page once we have written and checked it. We don't publish a page just because data exists.

Writing rules

Calm and practical. No scare headlines and no invented facts, figures or quotes. People's real stories only with a link to where they told them. No testimonials.

News explainers

News explainers carry their publication date and their sources. Changes made after publishing are listed, with their dates, at the bottom of the article.

Keeping pages current

Every guide shows when it was last updated. When we change a fact, we update that date.

Corrections

When we fix an error, the page's updated date changes. On news explainers, the correction is also listed with its date at the bottom of the article.
